Your Gang- My Gang

What a rascally group! If you are anywhere near my age bracket or watch re-runs, this photo should make you smile. The Little Rascals – a group made up of the most different of characters, but on a shared journey full of adventure, and each one loyal to their gang to the end.

To live the kind of life Christ desires for us, we too must be connected to like-minded friends for the sake of encouragement and support. That is why we at the Grove encourage your involvement in Life Growth Groups. Jesus gave us very specific instructions about how He expects His church to function and care for one another. His Word tells us to:
  • Greet one another
  • Comfort another
  • Forgive one another
  • Build up one another
  • Serve one another
  • Bear one another's burdens
  • Encourage one another
  • Meet with one another
  • Welcome (receive) one another
  • Care for one another
  • Minister to one another
  • Show hospitality to one another
  • Pray for one another
  • Be kind to one another
Did you ever notice how none of the above mentioned instructions can be carried out independently? Though The Grove is comprised of folks from different walks of life, different temperaments and from different places in their spiritual journey, we are not so unlike that rascally group pictured above. We all need to know that we belong, that there is a place where we can give and receive support, and contribute to the lives of others.

I hope that you will visit the table in the hall as sign-ups are going on now. This is the kind of "gang" mentality we want to encourage, so don’t miss out! I’m looking forward to seeing you in one of our many group options starting the week of January 31st.

Until Next Time

Peggy

What a great ambassador of LG Groups you are! Very well said! Thanks for leading the way and encouraging Grovers to jump in. Only a few more weeks and then One Month To Live!
